Sheila Kelsey comes to the podcast today with years of sales experience. She’s currently with ACN, one of the largest direct sellers of telecommunications, energy, and other essential services for both home and business. A native Texan, Sheila, her husband, and her “bonus” son live in the DFW area. Today, she’s talking with us about how she’s grown in her walk with Christ, and shares one of the many ways her faith has been strengthened.
Gabe Bahlhorn has been ministering in local churches since 1999. He’s on the executive pastoral team at Oakland Church in Rochester, MI. Today, he’s on the podcast sharing wisdom and talking about Missions.Me, the international ministry he and his wife co-founded with his childhood friend, Dominic Russo. Gabe’s wife, Hannah, serves alongside him as the organization’s medical director. Gabe and Hannah have a young son, Beckham, and are expecting a daughter this December.
For too many people God is still the unknown. We live in a time where most people know of God but have not drawn close to Him. For whatever reason, we choose to step lightly around the issue as if it’s simply okay. The fact of the matter is that God our creator wants a relationship with us. In this episode, we attempt to answer the questions, “Why have faith in the unknown God?” We seek by asking and stating :
We may have been raised a tad bit different, but today the option of homeschooling is becoming more and more prevalent. We know that everyone has a choice, but these are the three reasons we homeschool.
1. God’s Plan – He has made a way
2. Freedom of Choice – Protecting our children from outside influence
3. Redeeming the Time – They are only this age once.
There is never a need to shy away from sharing our faith as a business owner. However, we believe there may be some clarification needed on how to share. Christianity has always played a large role in business from the beginning of time. Now is no different for Christians to be involved in what takes place in the business world.
Often times we may ask ourselves a question? What has me so down? Why am I so mad, angry, upset, or just unsettled? Well, most of the times it’s not a what, but a who. Who has me in this state of being?
The battle of spiritual warfare is real and has always been. It brings us to today’s question, “Who are you in fellowship with today?”
What happens when our physical limits are pushed? Well, if you ask Gina Trave, founder of Exalt Fit apparel, our spiritual gets a workout as well. Truly, the business was inspired by her deeper discovery in her faith as she found herself going deeper. Of course, she faces the same challenges as we all face in business, but her perseverance through previous hardships have shown her how to press through during tough times.
Without a doubt, this is a time to take a strong stance in faith. It seems that every time we turn on the news we are hearing about some type of tragic incident, like that which occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shortly before that we experienced the devastation hurricanes, like Harvey, Irma, and Maria. May we be reminded to focus on the unseen, and take a strong stance in faith.
